Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro expressed gratitude to organizers, Capitol employees, and Cebuanos following the Philippines’ successful hosting of the 48th ASEAN Summit, describing the event as a shared achievement for Cebu and the country.
In a Facebook post this morning, Gov. Baricuatro commended the National Organizing Committee and all individuals involved in mounting the regional gathering, citing their dedication, careful planning, and efficient execution that helped ensure the summit’s success.
“Your tireless dedication, meticulous planning, and seamless execution have not only ensured a productive gathering but also showcased the very best of our region’s collaboration and spirit,” Gov. Baricuatro said.
She thanked Cebuanos for their patience, hospitality, and kindness extended to delegates and guests throughout the summit, saying their warmth reflected the welcoming character of the Filipino people.
The governor likewise acknowledged Provincial Capitol employees and members of her executive staff for assisting the organizing committee and contributing to the smooth conduct of the event.
Gov. Baricuatro said the summit highlighted Filipino creativity, innovation, and cultural richness, which she described as proof of the resilience and talent of the nation.
She said that the successful hosting of the summit strengthened Cebu and the Philippines’ standing on the global stage while reaffirming the country’s commitment to regional unity, cooperation, and mutual respect among nations.

She expressed hope that the spirit of ASEAN cooperation would continue to grow stronger in the coming years through shared goals and renewed regional solidarity.
