The Philippines convened the ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) in preparation for the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, marking the 3rd meeting of Senior Officials under the country’s Chairship.
The SOM Leaders reviewed key deliverables under the ASEAN Political-Security Community Pillar (APSC), including on maritime cooperation, priority actions for regional resilience, and measures to address the implications of the situation in the Middle East on ASEAN.
