𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈
For the past four months, inside one of our provincial nurseries, a quiet story of love has been unfolding.
A baby boy, later named Baby Amari, was left in the care of our hospital after his mother passed away during childbirth. His father remains unknown.

Since then, he has never been alone.
Our pediatric nurses and doctors became his constant. They took turns carrying him, rocking him to sleep between shifts, and caring for him as if he were their own. They bought his milk and diapers from their own pockets. They celebrated his monthly milestones. In the middle of long and demanding duties, they made space for him, again and again.
There are many assumptions about government healthcare. But stories like this quietly show what is often unseen. 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄 that goes beyond duty. 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 that asks for nothing in return. 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 that is given freely, without prodding, without pay.
𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 to our 𝐃𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒, 𝐍𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐒, and 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐅𝐅 who show up every day, often beyond what is required, to care with both skill and heart. This is public service at its best.
Today, Baby Amari is ready for discharge and will be entrusted to the care of the DSWD.
He may begin life without his biological parents, but he leaves this hospital having already known love, real, generous, and human.
𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢, may your life ahead be safe, guided, and full of blessings. You are loved.❤️
