Cebu Rebuilds 8 Earthquake-Damaged Bridges Worth P159.7M

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Status of the repair and construction of eight bridges worth P159.732 million, which were damaged after the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that shook the northern part of Cebu in September of last year.

These bridges are part of the P276 million infrastructure projects approved by Governor Pamela Baricuatro for the Capitol’s rehabilitation efforts in the towns severely affected by the earthquake.


A total of P60.037 million in funds has been allocated for three bridges in the town of Borbon, which include the Cabica Bridge, Cadaruhan Bridge and Tagnucan Bridge.


Included among the other bridges whose rehabilitation has already begun are the Poblacion-Suba Bridge in the town of Daanbantayan worth P33.344 million, the Guadalupe Bridge in the City of Bogo (P20.006 million), the Tabunok Bridge in Sogod (P18.011 million), and the Piyo Bridge in Tabogon (P16.886 million) and Lamintak Bridge in Medellin (11.448).


The eight bridges are part of the 16 initial projects for the rehabilitation of infrastructure damaged by the earthquake. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶
