𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, together with Provincial Administrator Ace Durano, Elizar Sabinay Jr. Executive Assistant V assigned for Provincial Planning and Development, and other key officials, meets with Department of Budget and Management Secretary Roland Toledo to discuss updates and consult on the proposed ₱360 million allocation under the Local Government Support Fund for the province’s infrastructure projects.

Following the meeting, the Capitol secured the DBM’s commitment to support the allocation. Baricuatro also informed Toledo of additional infrastructure projects uploaded to the DBM system this week, which are subject to review and approval.

The DBM chief assured the governor that his office would provide additional funding for the province, particularly for school and road construction and rehabilitation projects damaged by the Sept. 30, 2025, earthquake. The DBM will also review the updated list of proposed infrastructure projects submitted by the Capitol and determine which will be prioritized.

Aside from the ₱720 million support for rice and infrastructure, other local government units also benefited from the funding. This year, the DBM said the Province of Cebu has received significant support from the national government, with DBM allocations alone — some still to be downloaded — totaling around ₱1.2 billion. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑭𝑬
