Living up to her mantra as “The People’s Governor,” Gov. Pamela Baricuatro joined the general assembly of the Cluster One Federation of Irrigators Inc., where she listened to farmers’ concerns and aspirations in promoting and sustaining food security in the province.
In a brief message, Gov. Baricuatro assured the group of the Capitol’s support, emphasizing their shared goal of advancing food sustainability for Cebuanos.

A total of 185 farmer-members attended the gathering held Friday, April 17, in the mountain barangay of Can-asujan, Carcar City.
Among the concerns raised were the need for tractors for rice fields, as well as programs to boost market demand for vegetables and ensure fair pricing.

Gov. Baricuatro discussed the Cebu Provincial Government’s Agrilink program, which buys excess vegetables and sells them through the Capitol’s mobile Agrilink van. She also tasked Provincial Agriculturist Roldan Saragena to coordinate with the federation regarding their request for a tractor.
Joining Gov. Baricuatro at the meeting were First District Provincial Board Member Neneth Reluya; Engr. Griselda ‘Gigi’ Sanchez, Provincial Agriculture and Livelihood Consultant; and Provincial Engineer Hector Jamora. 𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑭𝑬
