𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region VII, led by Regional Director Abosamen H. Matuan, paid a courtesy call to Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro at the Capitol on Monday, April 13.
The purpose of the visit is focused on aligning the national government’s transport relief efforts with the province’s local initiatives to support drivers and commuters amidst rising fuel costs.
Matuan highlighted the upcoming nationwide launch of the Service Contracting Program on April 15 – a program designed as a twin-relief measure: a subsidy payout for operators and drivers, and a guaranteed 20% fare discount for commuters.
Governor Baricuatro welcomed the initiative and pointed out the importance of a unified approach between the Capitol and the LTFRB to address current economic challenges.
“It’s better to work together. We get more, and we get things done if we work together,” she said. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒀𝑱𝑩, 𝑨𝑹𝑱
