Gov. Pamela Baricuatro visited her father’s grave on Good Friday at Noramar Memorial Garden to pay tribute to the man who shaped her.
She stood at her father’s resting place, not to make a speech, not to cut a ribbon, but to remember. To be still. To say, without saying a word: thank you.
That’s what this was. A moment marked not by ceremony, but by prayer, by remembrance, by love, by gratitude.
Behind the strength she wields every day to lead the Cebuanos, there is a daughter who knows that her first hero didn’t wear a cape.
He wore a father’s love.
