Governor Pam S. Baricuatro visited Patrolman Kim Ceniza, who was injured during a recent police operation in San Fernando, Cebu, assuring him and his family of the provincial government’s full support.
Accompanying the governor was Cebu Police Provincial Office Director PCol. Abubakar Udang Mangelen Jr.
Patrolman Ceniza was awarded earlier by PBGen. Redrico A. Maranan, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7), for his bravery during the hot pursuit operation in San Fernando, where he sustained a wound.
The governor reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to care for frontline personnel who risk their lives to protect the public.
Patrolman Ceniza successfully underwent surgery at Chong Hua Hospital, performed by the Orthopedic Team led by Dr. Janos Vizcayno Jr., alongside Dr. Alwen Arong, with anesthesiologist Dr. Brian Belandres, as well as Dr. Elmer Po for being the first surgeon to attend to the patient.
Governor Baricuatro expressed gratitude to the medical team for their swift and expert care, and emphasized that the province stands firmly behind its uniformed personnel, ensuring they receive not only recognition, but also the support they deserve in times of need.
