They came to run the show. At the Capitol grounds, the #DAICON She-EOS Bazaar opened Thursday with a clear message for the crowd. Women are not just selling, they are leading.
The two-day event, organized by the Cebu Provincial Youth Development Office (CPYDO), is one of a series of activities to show support for the Women’s Month celebration under the administration of Governor Pamela Baricuatro.
The “People’s Governor” herself went from booth to booth, engaging with entrepreneurs and serving as a stamp of approval that inclusive growth can also be achieved with women calling the shots.
“The main goal lang gayud is economic empowerment for women,” said Marven Gorgonio, youth consultant of the Office of the Governor.
Set against a backdrop of live acoustic performances, the Daicon She-EOS Bazaar demonstrated that women can take the helm and redefine the role of a CEO in the local business landscape.
