In celebration of Women’s Month, the Cebu Provincial Government treated 20 outstanding women from various local government units to a fun-filled Cultural City Tour on Thursday, March 26.
The participants were the raffle winners during the Provincial Women’s Month Celebration, which gathered women health workers and members of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) associations from across Cebu Province.
The women enjoyed a day of learning, appreciation, and relaxation as part of the Capitol’s “Bongga Ka Dai: Wellness and Care Services” program, which aims to recognize and uplift women employees.
Coming from the municipalities of Consolacion, Oslob, Barili, Dalaguete, Minglanilla, Samboan, Balamban, Alegria, Alcantara, Boljoon, and Dumanjug, as well as the cities of Danao and Mandaue, the women were given the opportunity to explore Cebu’s rich history and culture.
The group visited key historical landmarks and museums, immersing themselves in Cebu’s vibrant heritage, and were later treated to a sumptuous lunch at Museo Sugbo.
To cap off the experience, the participants received thoughtfully curated tokens from women-led enterprises across the province, including a Hinablon scarf from Argao, a handcrafted pouch from Minglanilla, and a Banig bag made by a women’s association in Badian—showcasing the creativity and livelihood of Cebuana artisans.
