Confidence isn’t about being loud. It’s about knowing your worth even when no one is watching.

Gov. Pamela Baricuatro drove that point home on Thursday during the “Bongga Ka Dai” confidence-building seminar at the Capitol Social Hall, where she told women’s group leaders and students that self-doubt should never stop them from stepping up.

“Confidence is not about being loud or perfect. Usahay, hilom ra na siya—steady, grounded, and rooted in knowing your worth—even when no one is watching, even when things are hard,” Gov. Baricuatro said.

“When a woman stands in her confidence, she doesn’t just change her life—she inspires and lifts others around her,” she added.

Held in line with National Women’s Month, the event gathered women’s association officers and members from Mandaue City, Naga City, and Minglanilla, along with students from the University of San Carlos.

Two workshops backed up the message.

Judi Puentespina, a former Cathay Pacific colleague of the governor, led a session on basic etiquette and deportment. Maria Theresa Blanes of the Governor’s Management Staff handled personal grooming, complete with make-up kits for participants.

The seminar highlighted the Capitol’s bid to create spaces where women gain not only skills but also the confidence to take on bigger roles in society, strengthening their hand in driving inclusive growth across Cebu Province. I CAPITOL PIO, Photos by AR and YJB
