Gov. Pam Pushes Feeding Program to Address Malnutrition, Boost Literacy in Cebu

The Cebu Provincial Government hosted a gratitude dinner for medical and non-medical personnel of the Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre and Unite for Good at the Cebu Provincial Capitol on Friday, March 19 following the successful holding of the 21st Rotaplast International Cebu Medical Mission over the past week.


Held at the Adventist Hospital Cebu, the team performed 84 cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries, benefiting mostly children from various areas: 43 from Cebu Province, 11 from Cebu City, seven from Lapu-Lapu City, three from Mandaue City, and 20 from areas outside Cebu.


The guests were warmly welcomed with a vibrant dance presentation by the Lapu-Lapu Performing Arts group, setting the tone for the evening before they proceeded with a tour around the Capitol halls.


Living up to their mission of “saving smiles, changing lives,” the team continue to bring hope and transformation to young patients and their families through their “Libreng Opera sa mga Bungi” program.
