The Cebu Provincial Government has released P8 million in financial assistance to two southern Cebu municipalities, reinforcing its commitment to equitable resource distribution and inclusive local development across the province.
Gov. Pamela Baricuatro handed to Dumanjug Mayor Gungun Gica checks totaling P5 million for the LGU’s socio-cultural projects, with Board Member Paz Rozgoni present.
Another P3 million was allocated to the Municipality of Alcantara for various infrastructure projects, including road concreting works and the renovation of the public market. Since Mayor Fritz Lastimoso could not attend, Mayor Gica received the checks on his behalf.
The assistance forms part of the provincial government’s reforms to ensure that resources reach communities across Cebu, in line with Gov. Baricuatro’s commitment that no Cebuano will be left behind. | CAPITOL PIO
