HAPPENING NOW: Capitol employees undergo a random drug test on Monday, March 16, 2026, as the provincial government begins enforcing its strict drug-free workplace policy.

The testing follows the signing of Executive Order No. 2 by Gov. Pamela Baricuatro in January, which puts into effect the “Drug-Free Workplace Ordinance” mandating random screening for all officials and employees regardless of rank.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency is conducting drug tests on Capitol employees during its General Assembly this morning. Strict chain-of-custody protocols and confidentiality of results are being observed throughout the process.
