Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro joined government officials, industry partners, and tourism stakeholders at the opening ceremonies of the 11th International Travel Festival (ITF) 2026 held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on March 13.
The annual travel expo highlights Cebu’s continuing push to strengthen its tourism sector by linking local industry players with global travel partners and promoting the province as a key gateway for domestic and international travelers.

The governor was joined by Gelena Asis-Dimpas, officer-in-charge of the Department of Tourism – Central Visayas, along with Cebu mayors, business leaders, travel industry partners, and more than a hundred exhibitors participating in this year’s event.
Now in its 11th year, the ITF remains one of the region’s premier travel events, bringing together adventure seekers, industry leaders, and tourism innovators in a vibrant marketplace for travel opportunities.

100 exhibitors
Running from March 13 to 15, the festival features more than 100 exhibitors and nearly 200 booths offering exclusive deals, curated travel packages, and travel solutions from airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, travel agencies, visa specialists, and tourism boards.
Visitors can explore a wide range of destinations and services—from dream vacations to practical travel arrangements—making the festival a one-stop venue for travelers planning both quick getaways and long-haul adventures.
For more than a decade, the festival has helped position Cebu as a gateway to global travel experiences while strengthening partnerships within the tourism industry.

In her speech, Governor Baricuatro thanked the event organizers and all the partners who made the event possible, calling the ITF “special for Cebu” as it brings together hotels, resorts, travel agencies, and airlines offering exciting promotions that make travel more accessible for everyone.
“I encourage all Cebuanos – and everyone here today – to take advantage of these great deals. Visit the booths, plan your next trip, and rediscover the joy of travel,” the governor said.
“Because true to the ITF’s theme ‘Dream. Go. Live’, you will only realize that dream of feeling more alive than ever if you go and experience what it is to travel and make new stories, friends, and memories along the way,” she added. | CAPITOL PIO
