The Cebu Provincial Government will hold a series of activities at the Capitol starting on Monday, March 9, 2026, to honor the vital role of women in governance and community development as the country observes National Women’s Month.

This year’s celebration carries the national theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” anchored on the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”—highlighting the strength, leadership, and influence of Filipino women across all sectors.

Led by Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, the opening activities will gather women leaders, officials, and employees of the Cebu Provincial Government as the Capitol joins the month-long celebration recognizing the contributions, resilience, and empowerment of Sugbo Kababayen-an.

Employees and guests can look forward to wellness and empowerment initiatives prepared for Capitol women employees during the day as part of the celebration.

Evening Program

In the evening, the Capitol will host a “Gala for Women Leaders in Government” at the Capitol Social Hall, bringing together women leaders and partners in governance in a celebration that honors their leadership and contributions to public service.

Throughout March, the Cebu Provincial Government will continue to hold activities and roll out programs supporting gender equality and women empowerment, as Monday’s events mark the start of Capitol’s celebration. | 𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶
