The Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) capped off February on a productive note, having successfully spayed and neutered a total of 667 pets throughout the month as part of its ongoing animal population management program.

This figure reflects the province’s continued push to promote responsible pet ownership and address the longstanding issue of stray animals in local communities.

According to the PVO, the month-long effort involved veterinary teams conducting spay and neuter, or “kapon,” procedures in various local government units, bringing services directly to pet owners who may not have easy access to veterinary clinics.

The PVO expressed its gratitude to pet owners and partner communities for actively supporting the initiative.
