Cebu Delegation Explores Healthcare Innovations at Care Show Japan

In line with Cebu Province’s commitment to improving healthcare services and promoting wellness programs for Cebuanos, the Cebu delegation attended the Care Show Japan today as part of the Cebu Trade Mission in Tokyo.

The Care Show features exhibitors presenting innovative medical and wellness equipment, healthcare systems and processes, including new food solutions designed for hospitals and senior care.


The delegation is led by Governor Pam S. Baricuatro, together with leaders of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), Provincial Board Members Kerrie Shimura and Stanley Caminero, Planning Officer Elizar Sabinay, PDRRMO focal Col. Dennis Pastor, and Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan. The event was also attended by Congressman Sun Shimura and other delegates representing the Cities of Cebu and Lapu-Lapu, underscoring Cebu’s strong commitment to expanding international partnerships and global opportunities.


Organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Tokyo Trade Mission includes upcoming meetings with the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, as well as a visit to Tokyo’s flood discharge site.

Gov. Pam will also lead a group to Yokohama tomorrow together with Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival to look into waste management solutions.


Governor Baricuatro expressed her gratitude to CCCI for organizing the trade mission and shared that she is eager to learn more from Japan’s best practices and bring new innovations back to Cebu to further strengthen healthcare, sustainability, and public service initiatives in the province.
