𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Cebu Provincial Government was recognized by the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 as one of the Outstanding Local Government Units during the PNP Day 2026 celebration at the regional headquarters’ Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City, on Monday, Feb. 23.

The award was given in recognition of the Provincial Government, under the leadership of Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, for the successful implementation of disaster response and humanitarian operations, steadfast support in upholding peace and order, and significant contribution to the overall success of the PRO 7 in promoting safer and more resilient communities in Central Visayas. Charlton James Canoy, the governor’s chief of staff, received the award on behalf of Gov. Baricuatro.

The event was anchored on the theme, “Serbisyong Nararamdaman, Kapulisang Maaasahan,” in line with the 35th anniversary of the Philippine National Police. Atty. Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, vice chairperson and executive officer of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) served as guest of honor and speaker.

PRO7 also gave recognitions to other local government units (LGUs), as well as conferred awards to top-performing personnel and police stations in the region.
