The thunderous beat of drums and the vibrant rustle of colorful costumes filled the air at the Waterfront Cebu City on Monday evening as Gov. Pamela Baricuatro joined the community in welcoming the Lunar New Year.
The celebration, highlighted by lion and dragon dances, served as a festive backdrop for a gathering of local leaders and residents, all united in their shared wish for a prosperous Year of the Horse. The revelry was capped by a spectacular fireworks display.
The event conveyed a powerful message of collective celebration, reminding everyone that prosperity is a joy best experienced together.
The presence of Gov. Baricuatro, along with Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival, showed the importance of cultural unity in the province. Expressing her delight at being part of the occasion, the governor mingled with the crowd, sharing in the festive spirit.
