The Cebu Provincial Government has released a total of ₱20.2 million in financial assistance to local government units and barangays across the province to support infrastructure and community development projects.

The largest share was allocated to the Danao City government, which received ₱15.5 million. Of this amount, ₱8 million is earmarked for the construction of an evacuation center in Sitio Malinginlinao, Barangay Sibacan, while ₱7 million will fund the construction of a barangay hall in Dungga.
Gov. Pamela Baricuatro told barangay captains and LGU representatives that both the national and provincial governments are prioritizing the direct release of funds to local communities to help minimize corruption.

“Daghan kaayo tag tabang nga adto moagi ninyo,” the governor said. “Modretso na gyud mis mga tawo karon kay mao na ni ang trend karon.”
Meanwhile, the Municipality of Alegria received ₱3 million. Around ₱2 million will be used to acquire children’s playground facilities, while the remaining ₱1 million is allotted for the installation of solar lighting.

Other barangays from the first, third, fourth, fifth, and seventh districts also received assistance ranging from ₱50,000 for socio-cultural initiatives to ₱200,000 for infrastructure projects. lCAPITOL PIO
