The City of Naga officially unveiled its newest tourism crown jewel on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 14—the “Naga’s WaterLight Symphony,” the first musical floating seawater fountain in the entire province.
Situated at the center of the Naga Park and Boardwalk, the fountain was switched on in a ceremony led by Mayor Val Chiong and Vice Mayor Jing-jing Chiong, drawing thousands of spectators.

Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro graced the event, alongside Board Member Neneth Reluya, members of the Naga City Council, and City Administrator Engr. Arthur S. Villamor.
The governor thanked the City of Naga for its leadership and vision in creating spaces where people can relax, connect, and fall in love with Cebu even more.
“Para nako ang turismo dili lang about destinations; it is about experiences. And tonight, Naga is giving both residents and visitors a new reason to come, stay, and fall in love with this city even more. Initiatives like this help strengthen Cebu’s position as a vibrant and must-visit province,” Gov. Baricuatro said.

For Gov. Baricuatro, the project is more than just a pretty spectacle. It is also an investment in the city’s future, aimed at attracting tourists, bolstering local vendors, and keeping the economic engines humming.
Also present in the event were department heads, punong barangays, and representatives from national government agencies and the private sector.
“This attraction is proof of our city government’s commitment to giving Nagahanons and tourists a world-class experience. We don’t need to go far. We have an international-class attraction right here,” the city government said in a Facebook post.
The attraction, which combines choreographed lights, music, and seawater jets, is now set to become a regular weekend activity for the city. It will operate every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with shows scheduled at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
