𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖: Members of the Cebu Provincial Development Council’s Sectoral Committee convene today, February 9, 2026, for the selection of the respective chairperson and co-chairperson of the Environment Sector, Infrastructure Sector, Economic Sector, Institutional Development or Development Administration Sector, and the Social Sector.
The gathering is led by the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) with mayors of the local government units of Cebu and representatives of accredited civil society organizations in attendance.
On behalf of Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, Assistant Provincial Administrator Aldwin Joseph A. Empaces formally opened the meeting. PPDO’s Elizar Sabinay Jr. then discussed the committee’s composition and highlighted its importance in the inclusive, participatory, and responsive provincial development planning that the Cebu Provincial Government is observing.
Once each sector has chosen its chairperson and co-chairperson, they would then separately conduct a sectoral meeting within the week to tackle the respective Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) of member National Government Agencies (NGAs), Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), for presentation during the PDC full council meeting this Friday, February 13, 2026. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆: 𝑷𝑷𝑫𝑶
