The Cebu Provincial Capitol opened its grounds to artistic expression over the weekend as 52 members of Urban Sketchers Cebu took part in a Sketch Walk, an on-the-spot sketching activity organized by the Cebu Provincial Youth Development Office.

The event marked the culmination of the weeklong Ani sa Alampat Exhibit Batch 1, held in celebration of Cebu Provincial Arts Month.
In line with Gov. Pamela Baricuatro’s advocacy of recognizing and supporting Cebuano artists, the Capitol continues to position itself as an open and inclusive space for creative work.

Participants spread out across the Capitol compound, capturing architectural details, movement and everyday scenes through live sketching, turning public spaces into informal canvases for artistic expression.
Works created during the Sketch Walk on Feb. 7 will be showcased in the Ani sa Alampat Exhibit Batch 2, a five-day exhibit scheduled from Feb. 9 to 13 at the Capitol Dome. | 𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, Photos from CPYDO
