Sugbo Negosyo, one of Gov. Gwen Garcia’s brainchild programs, is set to stage a trade expo on September 8-10 at the SM Seaside City Cebu.
The event will feature 35 finalists of the Sugbo Negosyo which is now on its second season. The announcement of the Top 10 winners is expected to come sometime after holding the Sugbo Negosyo Expo.
On Monday, the technical working group (TWG) discussed with the governor details of the upcoming event which is expected to showcase the different products made by Cebuano entrepreneurs who are beneficiaries of the program.
Capitol has allotted P100 million for this micro-enterprise initiative that gives much-needed capital to promising entrepreneurs in the province. ‘
While the criteria for judging have not been disclosed yet, the beneficiary-finalists will definitely be judged based on various factors, including their entrepreneurial journey.
Present during the meeting were Board Member Glenn Soco, Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Kellie Ko, past president Steven Yu, officials from the Department of Trade and Industry-Cebu, and some Capitol personnel who form part of the group’s TWG. | Carlo Lorenciana
