The Cebu Provincial Government formally signed an agreement with the Cebu Normal University (CNU) for the Capitol’s Career Executive Enhancement Program.
At the signing were Cebu Governo Hilario Davide III and CNU President Dr. Marcelo Lopez
In the agreement, CNU acts as the training agency that will conduct a 4-month lecture workshop focus on key functions of management, namely planning, organizing, staffing, directing, contracting, and its actual application in public governance.
CNU is recognized for its technical expertise and experience in training public officials through its Institute of Public Governance, College of Arts and Sciences.
The career enhancement program is the Cebu Provincial Government’s commitment to develop department heads and their assistants as far as key functions of management are concerned. This is also an effort to enhance their competence.
As reflected in the proposed budget, the funding is P320,000 and the training runs from May 2015 to October 2015.
Cebu province, under the agreement, provides the venue for the program and is responsible for the attendance of the trainee-employees while CNU provides the lecturers from the College of Arts and Sciences. Fides Palicte
