RD PRO7 TALIÑO CONVENES PROVINCIAL COMMAND VISIT IN BOGO CITY

4BOGO CITY, Cebu, March 10, 2017 – PNP Regional Director Police Chief Supt. Noli G. Taliño led the command conference during his command visit in Bogo City today. Chiefs of police from different stations attended the conference and discussed the overall performance of the Cebu Provincial Police Office. During the discussion, it was revealed that Bogo City’s crime rate for index crimes has decreased.
Selected PNP personnel from the City of Bogo, municipalities of San Remigio and Medellin were given special awards pursuant to a General Order.
Bogo City Police Chief Superintendent Byron Allatog with PO2 Rey Gabriel Rosell, PO1 Edilberto Tilor Jr. and PO1 Faron Abela were awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) for the successful implementation of a search warrant for violation of RA 10591 that led to the arrest of Alberto Baterna in his residence at Barangay Don Pedro, Bogo City the evening of February 3, 2017. The said orderly search yielded eight (8) high and low powered firearms, silencer, binocular, several pieces of ammunition for assorted caliber and other pieces of evidence.
Meanwhile, police personnel of the Municipality of San Remigio were awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan while a policeman from Medellin received the Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal).
Bogo City Mayor Carlo Martinez expressed his gratitude for selecting Bogo City as venue for the command visit. He urged to make Bogo City as a primary choice for upcoming command visits taking pride in being one of the booming cities in the province.
Mayor Martinez, PCSupt. Taliño and all the policemen then feasted in a boodle fight, a military style of eating that symbolizes brotherhood and equality among them by sharing the same food without regard for rank. -30-
