Job opportunities are once again offered to those who are seeking for employment or looking for a greener pasture to change the nature or the kind of work they have. On Dec. 1, 2013, a Local Job Fair will be held at the Capitol social hall.
The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) has expected 35 establishments to participate in the activity including some job recruitment agencies. Some companies who are expected to show support to the coming job recruitment this Sunday are Cebu Mitsumi, Inc., International Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Norkis Group of Companies, Asianwide Refreshments Corp. (RC COLA PHILS.), Cebu Progress Commercial, Call Center 101 and P.J. Lhuillier Group of Companies, and Duty Free Philippines among others.
Interested parties are encouraged to register at the PESO Provincial Capitol located at the ground floor so they can have their priority numbers for their convenience on the day of the job fair. Resumes and other pertinent papers are required on the actual day of the job fair.
On the same day, personnel from the SSS, NSO, PHILHEALTH and NBI will be attending to other needs of the applicants and other interested individuals for their respective inquiries.
Meanwhile, PESO head, Dr. Mathea M. Baguia said that her office has also a Help Desk section which could assist displaced workers including those who lost their jobs. It has a licensed special recruitment staff from Manila who are here to conduct job recruitment for abroad. Ramon Gallardo
