Following what was agreed in the department heads’ meeting on Mon., Nov. 11, to help provide temporary shelter to the affected families in north Cebu in the wake of typhoon Zoraida which is believed to be bringing along substantial rainfall, the Provincial Engineering Office has subdivided the available 11 rolls of tarpaulin which were on stock into 1½ m. X 7 m. sheets producing around 70 pcs.
The newly procured tarpaulin had likewise been subdivided into 2.4 m. X 5 m. sheets producing around 240 pcs. The materials had been forwarded to the Prov’l. Social Welfare & Dev’t. Office which will likewise distribute to the local government units along with relief goods which are continuously prepared at the Capitol with the help of volunteers.
About 12 PEO personnel had been deployed to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council to reinforce the teams in-charge of the post super typhoon clearing operations and other activities. Roger Serna
