Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) now have a home of their own as a new commercial center in Minglanilla town opened its doors recently.
South Park (SPark) commercial center, in support of the Cebu Provincial Government’s “One Town, One Product” campaign, will feature the best products and services from different towns and cities of Cebu Province.
This will also be set as part of Suroy-Suroy Sugbo’s itinerary.
“I have high hopes that this partnership will encourage equitable, participatory, and sustainable progress in the countryside,” said Governor Hilario P. Davide III in his message through Provincial Board member Miguel Antonio Magpale.
Located right beside Minglanilla’s wet market, the infinity-shaped commercial center was designed by the internationally acclaimed and multi-awarded Cebuano designer Kenneth Cobonpue.
This is part of the three-hectare joint development project of Primary Properties Corporation (PPC) and the local government of Minglanilla.
PPC President William Christopher Liu Jr. expressed thanks to Minglanilla LGU for their successful collaboration where people can conveniently look for the best products of the province.
The center will also house satellite offices of different national government agencies such as Social Security System, Land Transportation Office, National Bureau of Investigation, Government Service Insurance System and Philippine Health Insurance among others bringing frontline services closer to the public.
Also present in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Minglanilla mayor Elanito Peña and vice mayor Robert John Selma. (Francis Nacua)
