Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) Philippines doles out P500,000 to Cebu Province as relief assistance for the affected areas that were hit by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake last October 15.
KEPCO SPC Power Corporation (KSPC ) President Bong Joo Choi, together with KEPCO Ilijan Power Corporation (KEILCO) General Manager Chong Hwa Park and Manager Jong Sung Kim, turned over to Vice Governor Agnes Magpale the check last November 07.
In a press release , KEPCO Philippines stated “that aside from providing affordable and reliable supply of electricity, it is also fully aware and responsive to the social needs of the country and integrates community service in its activities”.
KEPCO also gave financial assistance to Bohol province amounting to P500,000.
KEPCO Philippines is a subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) which is a fully integrated electric utility. In June 2011 ,KEPCO started its operations with a 200MW capacity in Naga City, Cebu. (Lee Dela Cerna)
