Governor Hilario P. Davide III has agreed to develop the access going to the highland village in Tabogon town.
Tabao Barangay Captain Vivina Puyot was asked to submit a resolution and program of work for financial assistance.
Puyot added that she also submitted a resolution for their water works project.
She said she was very thankful for the governor’s visit last July 4 as she was able to tell about the barangay’s needs.
“Manghinaot mi nga moabot gyud ning among gipangayo (We hoped to really get the assistance that we ask),” she said.
This means the money will be directly released to the barangay, which will then implement the road concreting or asphalting project.
Puyot assured that whatever additional cost needed for the projects the barangay is willing to contribute.
The governor saw the road’s condition on his way to Barangay Taba-ao Elementary School.
The school, which was damaged by the typhoon Yolanda last November, was one of the recipients of Cebu Marriott Hotel’s outreach and rehabilitation projects in Tabogon.
“Nagpasalamat ko ni Gov. Davide sa iyang pagbisita sa Taba-ao ug iya gyung nakita kon unsa kapait ang atong karsada ug ilabina gyud sa iyang pagsanong sa atong hangyo nga mangayo ta og hinabang sa Province (We thanked the governor for his visit and especially for agreeing to grant our request for assistance from the Province),” said Tabogon Mayor Zigfred Duterte.
