Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III along with provincial board members Christopher Baricuatro, Arleigh Sitoy, Miguel Magpale and ABC President Celestino Martinez III are in Tagaytay attending a 2-day Training Program for Leaders of the Pilot Provinces of Cebu, Oriental Mindoro and South Cotabato on their Roles and Contributions in the Partnerships for Integrity and Jobs (Project I4J).
The training-workshop runs from November 19-20 at the Taal Vista, Tagaytay. Target participants include the provincial Governor, the Vice Governor and all the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
It tackles primarily on the roles and contributions of the political leaders in the Partnerships for Integrity and Jobs or known as Project I4J.
Project I4J is focused on the pilot development of integrity mechanisms and models of transparent and effective small business and investment registration and promotion procedures at selected LGUs, in cooperation with civil society, local business and decision makers of LGUs.
Participants are carefully informed of their vital roles in the Project, with the aim to prepare to support the reform models when they are designed and implemented at the pilot areas.
Project I4J is co-funded by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, a German political foundation. It is implemented by the consortium composed of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), the League of Province of the Philippines (LPP), the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP), the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) and the Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI).
