The Cebu Provincial Government handed over a total of P2,658,500 worth of mini-ambulances and P295,200 worth of motorcycles to fourteen barangays last August 5.
Governor Hilario P. Davide III urged the officials of recipient barangays to take good care of the ambulances and motorcycles. Each ambulance costs P204,500 while the motorcycle costs P73,000 each.
“The provincial government will try to provide whatever is needed the most by the barangays,” said Davide.
Recipients of one ambulance each were Barangays Casay, Talaga, Balisong, and Bulasa in Argao; Tilhaong, Consolacion; Manlapay, Dalaguete; Jaclupan, Talisay City; La Paz, Bogo City; San Miguel, San Remegio; Polog, Consolacion; Balungag, San Fernando; and Daanglungsod, Oslob.
Barangays Guizo and Bakilid of Mandaue City received two motorcycles each.
Vice Governor Agnes A. Magpale said that the provincial government had already distributed over three hundred ambulances out of the 1,064 total recipients all over the Province.
Also present during the turnover ceremony were Provincial Board Members Sun Shimura, Yolanda Daan, and Edsel Galeos. (Katrina Marie Diaz)
