Some 11,730 families mostly in the northern part of the province who are victims of the recent super typhoon Yolanda had received assistance from the Cebu Provincial Government through the PSWDO.
As of Sunday, Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 in the afternoon, at least 17 towns including in the Camotes island and the lone city of Bogo were recipient of packs of rice, assorted canned goods, noodles and bottled mineral water.
Packs of rice, assorted canned goods and bottles of mineral water were distributed by the personnel from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Evelyn L. Senajon in coordination with some personnel from other offices to affected families in the towns of Borbon, Daanbantayan, Tabogon, Liloan, Carmen, Sogod, Medellin, San Remigio, Bantayan Island, Sta. Fe, Madredijos, Bogo City, Poro, Pilar, Tudela and San Francisco of the Camotes Island, all in the northern part of the province and in the lone municipality of Minglanilla in the south.
The distribution has been started since Nov. 9 in various parts of the province and still going on as donations keep on pouring in from different kind- hearted individuals and concerned groups. Ramon Gallardo
