The Cebu District Property Enterprise, Inc. (CDPEI) together with Governor Hilario Davide III and outgoing Mayor Jonas Cortes led the groundbreaking ceremony of Gatewalk Central in Mandaue City last June 6.

With P10 billion for its initial development, Gatewalk Central is located in a 17.5-hectare lot in Barangay Subangdaku with access to national roads, such as Lopez Jaena Street, M. Logarta Street and Ouano Avenue.

Davide disclosed that the multi-billion project supports the Countryside Development agenda of the administration and will help boost the tourism and economic productivity of Mandaue City.

“Congratulations to Ayala Land and Aboitiz group. Dako kining garbo puhon sa Cebu,” he added.

CDPEI is a joint venture company of Ayala Land Inc. and AboitizLand who are both owners and developers of Gatewalk Central.

Dubbed as the “Dynamic Center of Mandaue”, Gatewalk Central will feature office buildings, residential options, family parks, retail stores, and an Ayala Mall.

“We are very excited about this development. Once complete, its character and features is something the local market has not seen before,” said Bobby Dy, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ayala Land, Inc.

The development will generate about 1,300 jobs and will rise to 9,000 jobs once the mall and office are operational in 2019.

Moreover, Avida will be the first residential development at Gatewalk Central. The Ayala mall will feature Landmark department store, global and local brands, and family dining-entertainment concepts.

“I would like to thank the Cebu Provincial Government and Mandaue City for their full support of this project,” said Adoni Aboitiz, president and CEO of AboitizLand.
