Capitol modernizes offices

In the pursuit of serving the public better,the Cebu Provincial Capitol renovated offices of various departments. Office improvements like repainting, relay-out of physical arrangement of work stations, putting of new office cubicles, adding more electrical lights and installation of new air conditioning unitstook place. Some offices obtained new furniture and fixture.

2016-02-08 (1)The offices that have been enhanced include the Governor’s Office, Provincial Treasurer’s Office, Provincial Veterinarian’s Office, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Provincial Assessor’s Office and Human Resource Management Office.

Other improvements include renovation of the water testing laboratory of the Provincial Health Office, restoration of Capito’slbalcony flooring, putting up of interior wall partitioning of the Legal Office, improvement of Capitol’s Material Testing Quality Control Office, construction of Capitol IT office, construction of NMYL and PWC offices and installation of Capitol main building canopy.

2016-02-08Due to damage brought by the powerful quake in 2013, rehabilitation of the Legislative building and the Capitol main building was also undertaken. This is to make sure that the buildings remain safe for day to day operation.

Renovated offices are now welllighted, have ample space, improved room temperature and better physical layout to accommodate the public.Public can expect modern offices at Capitol comparable to private offices.

The renovation of the department offices and other construction works amounted to P18.5M. Contributed Article
