The Cebu Provincial Government led by Governor Hilario P. Davide III and Vice-governor Agnes Magpale distributed goods to 2,100 senior citizens for 14 barangays thru “Halad Alang Kang Lolo ug Lola” program in Barili town on January 26.
It was the second distribution held for the seniors this year.
One of the early birds, 74-year old Luisa Cartagenas of Barangay Candugay said she was ecstatic to come to the gym to receive her goods.
The activity was a collaboration between the provincial government and the Municipality of Barili led by Mayor Teresito Mariñas, municipal officials and barangay captains. Provincial Board Member Gigi Sanchez and PB candidate Anthony Yapha were also in attendance.
Davide and Magpale constantly reminded the public, just like in every distribution activity, on the sincere intention of the provincial government not to put political colors in their programs. Everyone is treated the same, Davide emphasized.
“Wa ta’y gipili, wa gyud ta’y partido nga gipili.
Mayor Mariñas who gave the welcome remarks is thankful to the provincial government for including the senior citizens in their agenda and projects. Heart Rizarri
