“Governor Davide is a man of a few words but big on action.”
Vice mayor Teresito Mariñas expressed this in gratitude for the many development projects the Cebu Provincial Government has done in various barangays in Barili town, south of Cebu.
These projects include a Php1 million road concreting project and a service vehicle for the rural health unit in Barangay Paril, and another Php1 million road concreting project in Barangay Hiluktog.
From being a 24-bed hospital, Barili District Hospital now has 100 beds and has served patients from the neighboring Dumanjug, Ronda and Alcantara towns, he added.
Capitol also brought its medical-dental mission in Barili last Friday, Oct. 7.
Governor Hilario P. Davide III led the team of Provincial Health Office doctors and nurses who administered free medical and dental check-ups to the residents of Barangays Paril, Hiluktog and Ginasgasan.
He encouraged Barilihanons to avail of the free medicines and services and to continue supporting the health programs of the Province.
Davide acknowledged the efforts of Vice Governor Agnes A. Magpale and her staff for making sure that health services reach Cebuanos living even in the most far-flung barangays in the province.
The medical-dental mission served more than 300 residents. (Fides Palicte)
