About 700 individuals benefited from the Cebu Provincial Government’s medical-dental mission held on June 29 at Barangay Looc, Mandaue City.
Free consultation, random glucose testing, dental extraction, medicines and haircut were offered to the Looc community. Feeding program was also part of the activity.
Common skin diseases and hypertensive heart diseases were the common complaints of most patients, according to the staff of the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
Vice-governor Agnes Magpale who led the medical mission activity reminded the constituents of Capitol’s aim to improve health and medical services in the province.
The activity was in collaboration between the Provincial Health Office and Barangay Looc Health Center.
“Medical-dental missions is just one way of reaching out to you to receive preventive health care and diagnostic services to understand your symptoms without spending,” Magpale said.
Barangay Chief Cesar Cabahug, Jr. appreciated the move of the provincial government to conduct a medical-dental mission.
To date, the Province has already served more than 100,000 barangay constituents based on the medical consultation records of PHO.
The provincial government continues to prioritize health services and programs as mandated by Gov. Hilario P. Davide III.
