Each ambulance assigned to the hospitals is tasked to take patients to nearby medical units or city hospitals for better treatment in case of road mishap, fire (burn), animal bite, cardiac injuries, pediatric and maternal care and other emergencies.

Each ambulance costs P1, 175,000.00 and is equipped with basic life support such as trauma and first aid kits, oxygen and a stretcher.

Governor Hilario P. Davide III assured that efforts are underway to strengthen health services and cater to the needs of patients in every district of Cebu.
