The dive shop owners had written the Provincial Government asking it to address the destruction of marine life in Pescador, Moalboal, Cebu. Continue here,"

Please inform Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia That the Municipal Hall of Moalboal failed it's task to look after the marine sanctuary around Pescador Island. Today we got the news that a local fishermen was on the island spear fishing the Thresher Sharks. The local government in Moalboal have once again failed what they have promised both to Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia and the people of Moalboal during their meeting in Moalboal last April.
If you look at Moalboal Local Government web site, http://moalboal.gov.ph/ you will see all kind of promotions and ideas about Moalboal. What you don't see is how the local government is protecting the marine parks of Moalboal. All divers have to pay money to dive here but their is no money put back into this issue or to protect the area from illegal fishing. I think there is only one perosn who can help Moalboal with this and that is Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia since to local government is not doing what they should do here. They have proved this once again by doing absolutely nothing.
PLEASE GOV. GWENDOLYN GARCIA, HELP US AND THE REPUTATION OF MOALBOAL!!!
